Change

Hey everyone! First couple of days at the MTC have been crazy! When I got here I didn't even have time to pack until like 9! But that's ok because now I'm basically settled in and comfortable. I have a trio companionship with elder Smith and elder Sanders. Elder Sanders is from Syracuse Utah and loves dirt biking. Elder Smith is from delta Utah and loves like... theater type of things. They are both terrific and we get along real well. They are both kind of introverted so it took about a day until we all started opening up to each other and talking a lot. It's really cool what is happening here and the feeling of being here.

Something that I learned and loved Thursday night was when we were given a devotional type thing from our branch presidency. We talked about how repentance. Earlier in that day we were learning about how we teach and in 2 of the steps it was using the word repent. I've always felt like if you were repenting... you had done something wrong. Wel in that devotional, I discovered I have been wrong this whole time. Repentance=change!!! That hit me so hard and it clicked! Like we are all trying to repent and change and that's why we are asking our investigators to repent is so they can change some of their habits and be more like Christ. It doesn't matter how good of a latter day saint you are. Everyone needs to repent and be more like Christ. It was just a perspective I had never looked at it from.

This gospel is great and it brings so much happiness into people's lives. This church is so much less complicated than all of us make it seem. All we need to do is keep our covenants and follow Christ. Then we will be able to stand spotless before God at the last day. (3 nephi 27:19-20) God is good :) if you guys ever want to write me or send anything you can check Instagram and I have the addresses there! Thanks and love you all!! Have a nice weekend!
